Crypto Transfer Checklist

Zero-Fail Pre-Flight Protocol v2.0

Crypto transactions are irreversible. One wrong address, one wrong network, one moment of carelessness — and your funds are gone forever. Use this checklist every single time before you press Send.

1
Environment Lockdown
PENDING
I am using a private, password-protected network (never public Wi-Fi).
No screen sharing software is active (Zoom, AnyDesk, TeamViewer).
No one can see my screen — physically or via camera.
My device OS and antivirus are updated to the latest version.
I reviewed my browser extensions — no unknown extensions are active.
I cleared my clipboard before copying the destination address.
⚠ Hidden Risk Clipboard malware can silently replace a copied crypto address with the attacker's address. Always clear your clipboard and verify again after pasting.
2
Address Verification
PENDING
I copied the address directly from the verified recipient (not from old transaction history).
I verified the first 6 and last 6 characters of the address.
The address type matches the asset I'm sending (BTC ≠ ETH ≠ TRX).
I confirmed the address has no extra spaces or hidden characters.
If sending to an exchange — I included the correct MEMO / TAG (required for XRP, XLM, BNB, etc.).
⚠ Hidden Risk A missing MEMO/TAG when depositing to an exchange means permanent loss. Smart contract addresses can also trap funds. Always verify the address type.
3
Network Confirmation
PENDING
The selected network matches the destination wallet.
I verified network compatibility on both sides — sender AND receiver.
If using a bridge — I confirmed it is official and not a phishing clone.
⚠ Example Sending ETH on BEP20 to an ERC20-only address = possible permanent loss. Wrong network is one of the most common causes of lost crypto.
4
Cold Wallet Protocol
PENDING
My hardware wallet firmware is official and up to date.
I verified the address on the hardware wallet screen itself — not just the computer screen.
I am NOT typing my seed phrase anywhere on any device.
My seed phrase is stored offline and physically inaccessible during this session.
⚠ Critical Rule No legitimate wallet, exchange, or service will EVER ask for your seed phrase. If anyone asks — it is a scam. Always verify the address on your hardware device screen.
5
Transaction Structure
PENDING
I am sending a small test transaction first (if the amount is significant).
I double-checked decimal accuracy (0.1 vs 1.0 vs 10.0).
I have enough native tokens for gas fees (ETH for ERC20, BNB for BEP20, etc.).
I reviewed the full transaction details one final time before signing.
6
Human Factor Check
PENDING
I am not under emotional pressure or being rushed.
If someone requested this transfer — I verified their identity through a separate channel (phone call, in person).
I understand that crypto transactions are irreversible once confirmed.
⚠ Scam Tactic Scammers create urgency — "send now or lose the opportunity." Legitimate transactions can always wait. If you feel rushed, STOP.
7
Post-Transaction
PENDING
I saved the transaction hash/ID for my records.
I verified the funds arrived in the destination wallet.
I cleared my clipboard again after completing the transfer.
🔒

Final Authorization

Say out loud: "I understand this transaction is irreversible."

Complete all checks above to receive clearance. If any hesitation remains — STOP.

Protect Your Crypto the Right Way

The safest way to store cryptocurrency is offline, on a hardware wallet. These are the only cold wallets we trust and personally use.
